Young Scientist Award for IRDR PhD Student

ucl.ac.uk/silva/rdr/people/carmine-galasso" target="_self">Dr Carmine Galasso and Omar Velazquez have attended and presented their work on 'Engineering Applications of Earthquake Early Warning' at the 'Earthquake and Induced Multi-Risk Early Warning and Rapid Response' workshop in Luxembourg, between the 18th and the 20th of November.
The supporting organizations of the workshop were the European Center for Geodynamics and Seismology (ECGS), European Seismological Commission (ESC), European Association for Earthquake Engineering (EAEE), National Museum of Natural History, Luxembourg (Mnhn), Seismological Society of America (SSA), and the International Association of Seismology and Physics of the Earth's Interior (IASPEI). 71 researchers from 21 countries have attended the workshop and delivered oral and poster presentations. Based on his CV and submitted work, Omar has been awarded a 'Young Scientist Award' with the support of Fonds National de la Recherche, Luxembourg (FNR).
