IRDR Safety Induction

All new starters need to complete the safety checklist and complete the online safety induction (detailed on the checklist). It is the responsibility of line managers/supervisors that it is completed. Forms should be returned to the IRDR Safety Officer.

Risk assessments are required for most work. UCL has raised its level of concern following a serious accident in Nanotechnology. Examples of risk assessments include: EEFIT Field Guide, 2016 Kumamoto EEFIT Mission Risk Assessment.

UCL risk assessments should be completed online through UCL RiskNET tools at http://www.ucl.ac.uk/estates/safetynet/

There have been a number of enquiries about working in potentially dangerous places (e.g Tajikistan/Afghanistan border, Eritrea, Kashmir). See the Security Guidelines for more advice on these matters.

Organisations who can provide training include:

If you have questions please contact your line manager/supervisor, Rosie or Peter.
