7th of March 3:30 - 5 pm | How to read a scientific paper? | Chair: Dr. Lorenzo Fabrizi, Associate Professor, Dept. of Neuroscience, Physiology & Pharmacology. Aim: Providing a tool to deconstruct a scientific paper and extract the information you need to keep in your personal knowledge archive. Do you struggle to make the best use of your time when reading scientific literature? While everyone has their way of extracting information from a scientific paper, it is always good to hear someone else's perspective. Having read hundreds of publications in his career, Dr. Fabrizi will provide his distilled approach to tackling scientific reading. This is a highly interactive workshop. One week before the event, participants will be provided with a scientific paper to review via email. During the session, we will analyze the 'hourglass' structure of scientific text with an emphasis on critical reading, evaluating research methodologies, discerning key findings, and interpreting data to draw informed conclusions.
