Planning, Insight and Improvement
Planning, Insight & Improvement (PII) partners with the wider UCL community to identify and deliver improvement and research funding opportunities. Our PII teams undertake horizon scanning, participate in institutional business planning, promote communities and collaborations, coordinate strategic bids and improve the integrity and quality of research data to inform short and long-term business objectives.
Service Improvement
Our Service Improvement team optimises research operations throughout the project lifecycle, continually improving UCL’s research management policies, processes, and systems such as Worktribe, and delivering learning and development opportunities for academic and professional services staff.
Research Coordination
Our Research Coordination teams provide support for research proposals to UK and international funders and foster cross-disciplinary community and capacity-building initiatives in key research areas such as Neuroscience, Cancer, Environment, Space, and Social Science.
Data and Insight
Our Data and Insight team is responsible for providing and improving the data used to evaluate institutional research and innovation performance and inform business objectives through data-based insights across UCL.
Digital Communications
We support the continual development and improvement of our digital communications channels through the evaluation of user journeys and undertake analysis to support internal and external stakeholder communications.
