Planning, Insight & Improvement (PII) partners with the wider UCL community to identify and deliver on improvement opportunities. Our PII teams undertake horizon scanning, participate in institutional business planning, and improve the integrity and quality of research data to inform short and long-term business objectives.

Data and Insight
Our Data and Insight team is responsible for providing and improving the data used to evaluate institutional research and innovation performance and inform business objectives through data-based insights across UCL.
Service Improvement
Our Service Improvement team is responsible for the development, implementation, and continual improvement of UCL’s research management policies, processes, and systems such as Worktribe.
Learning and Development
Our Learning and Development team is responsible for the development of RIS training and resources to support UCL faculties and departments undertaking research and innovation activity at UCL.
Digital Communications
Our Digital Communications team is responsible for developing, monitoring, and evaluating user journeys and undertaking competitor analysis to support the continual improvement of our digital communications channels.
