The popular series for UCL research staff and students continues on Wednesday 1 November 2017 will focus on bringing together natural science, economics and national policy-making. Prof Georgina Mace, Director of the UCL Centre for Biodiversity and Environment Research and Nick Barter, Deputy Director, Natural Environment Strategy, Defra will be discussing their experience of academic-policy interaction and their views on the complexities of policy engagement.

Come along for your chance to ask the experts about the opportunities and pitfalls in engaging with the world of policy, find out the insights they have gained, and hear what they consider are the key lessons for successful engagement.

The seminar will be followed by a sandwich lunch and an opportunity to network.

UCL Public Policy is committed to increasing the diversity and inclusivity of its activities. We encourage people from under-represented groups (BAME, LGBTQ+, a mature student, or disabled) to attend.
