Monica Burgess

Research Manager

Monica (she/her) is responsible for the overall management of research activities within the Department. She provides advice and updates processes with regards to research proposal preparation (pre-award) and financial management of research awards held in the Department (post-award). She also sits on the Departmental Research Committee and also advises on matters of open access policies and REF.

Key areas of responsibility include:

  • Budget development for research proposals
  • Worktribe training
  • Funders policies advice
  • Award budgets repurposing
  • Research contract support
  • Financial reporting on research awards
  • Funders liaison on behalf of grant holders
