Careers Week: Alumni Panel - Business, Trade, and Energy Policy

For the last of our alumni panels of Careers Week 2021 we are exploring avenues to working in International Trade and Business Policy. This field attracts alumni from all of our different programmes and offers a wide variety of opportunities. Join us to hear about the work and career path of Sophia Cliff (MSc Security Studies, 2014) who has followed her role as Policy Adviser, EV Rapid Charging in the Department of Transport by joining the Department of Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy as a Policy Adviser, Offshore Electricity. James Olujohungbe (MSc Security Studies, 2017-2018) is a Strategy and Policy Adviser at the Department of Trade. His work has included being a policy advisor on Trade in Goods and Customs Policy for the EU exit and negotiations, and a secondment to the International Agreements Team to the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs. Recent graduate Sophie Hockenhall (MSc IPP, 2019-2020) recently joined the Department of Trade through the Fast Stream process where she works as an Assistant Economist.
