South India: YouTube - Edutainment
This video from our South Indian fieldsite combines three cases to show how learning is acquired through entertaining videos on Youtube.
Case one is that of a young school girl who learns dance moves (Bollywood) from Youtube by accessing it on a television for a performance at a local event.
Case two is that of a college graduate who learns short film making by watching short films and film makers on Youtube.
Case three is that of a school dropout who learns about using smart phones through instruction videos on Youtube.
