Social Activities

The UCL School of Pharmacy Events Committee is dedicated to coordinate, facilitate and schedule events with the aim of bringing in all members of the School to participate and support its activities. Members of the committee include Mrs Rebekah Nichols, Ms Angelina Blackwood-Hernandez, Prof Simon Gaisford and Mr Adrian Rodgers.

The committee meets quarterly and communicates future events and inspirations. Past successful events organised by the committee have included at raising money for various charities. These include ‘Wear It Pink’ day for Breast Cancer Campaign (£92) and fundraising for Comic Relief (£97). The committee has also worked closely with the Student Euphoria Society and raised £300 through ‘Cake Bake’ for the Philippine Typhoon disaster and aims to extend this further.

The SOP Picnic in the Park has become an annual family event organised by the committee whereby staff and PhD students have the opportunity to socialise and share a variety of shop and homemade food and play sports together.
