Equipped with and AMT XR50 TEM camera a retracting side-mount CCD camera wth a large format sensor with 5 megapixels and a high performance lens. It comes with digital acquisition and viewing software, adjustable exposures and high speed GigE digital interface for transfer and control of data.
The TEM has an accelerating voltage range of 20-120KV, 18-330000 magnification, point-to-point resolution of 0.34nm, Bright and dark field and diffraction modes and a "compustage" for tilted viewing.
Applications include:
- Imaging thin sections of fixed embedded specimens
- Negative staining: metal shadowing of purified proteins, protein-nucleic acid conjugates, nanoparticles, liposomes, exosomes, nanogels, phages
- Screening of nanofibres
- Immuno-electron microscopy
