Teaching summary
MSc/MRes in Clinical Drug Development
The course includes two modules in Clinical Pharmacology & Therapeutics, during which students gain insight into clinical and regulatory aspects of clinical drug development.
The first module is aimed at identifying the determinants of pharmacological response and variability in humans. Focus will be given to the relationship between drug delivery, pharmacokinetics, signal transduction, homeostasis, disease progression and treatment outcome. Further details can be found here:https://www.ucl.ac.uk/module-catalogue/modules/clinical-pharmacology-and-therapeutics/MEDC0055 The second module is aimed at demonstrating how clinical pharmacology concepts can be applied in drug development and therapeutics to support evidence generation whilst addressing clinical and regulatory requirements (EMA, FDA, ICH).
