Inter-Library Loans

Staff and students based at UCL School of Pharmacy may use
the Interlibrary Loan (ILL) service provided by the Library at Brunswick
Square. Please read the paragraphs below
for more details or contact the library
for advice. Alumni members and visitors
are not eligible to use this service.

Staff and students at other UCL sites should visit the Interlending and Document Supply webpage for information about central and local arrangements.

If you require an item for teaching, learning or research
that is not held in any UCL Library or
in any of the nearby
libraries
to which UCL staff and students have access, we may be able to
obtain it for you via the ILL service.

If the item you require is held at UCL Libraries at the
Institute of Ophthalmology, Institute of Orthopaedics or the Royal Free
Hospital, please contact us or visit
the UCL School of Pharmacy Library for further assistance.

To make an ILL request please fill in and return this form. The form is also available at the Issue Desk.

The form is in Word to allow you to type and paste text onto it, but it does require your original signature so please ultimately print and send the completed form to us.  Also, please use a separate form for each and every request, as per Copyright and British Library regulations.  Forms submitted by MSc and MPharm students must be endorsed by supervisors’ signatures.

There is a limit of ten concurrent ILLs per applicant for Research Postgraduate students and members of Staff, and three for Taught Postgraduate and MPharm students.  We will keep you informed of the progress of your requests by email.

Please return borrowed items by the due date, or let us know if you’d like to renew them at least three days before it.  Borrowed items are issued to your library account and remain your responsibility. The lending library will seek compensation for any item that is lost or damaged.  Lending libraries may recall items at any time.  Recalled items that are not returned within three weeks may be declared lost.  The compensation bill may include an administration charge as well as the full cost of repairing or replacing the item.  All costs incurred for lost or damaged items will be passed on to you.

Please contact the library if you require any further information.
