Ethnic disparities in statin treatment may lead to more heart attacks and strokes

People of South Asian and African/ African Caribbean ethnicity who have type 2 diabetes are less likely to be prescribed statins, potentially contributing to heart attacks and strokes, finds a study led by Dr Sophie Eastwood (UCL MRC Unit for Lifelong Health & Ageing).
