Combination of drugs dramatically extends fruit fly life span

A ‘polypill’ combining lithium, trametinib and rapamycin has been found to extend the lifespan of fruit flies by 48%, in research that could help find ways for people to stay healthy for longer, explains co-author Professor Dame Linda Partridge (UCL Institute of Healthy Ageing).
