Common drugs such as statins may help alleviate mental illness

Dr Joseph Hayes (UCL Psychiatry) and his team find that cheap common medicines, such as statins, diabetes and blood pressure drugs, may also help alleviate the symptoms of severe mental illnesses including schizophrenia and bipolar disorder.
