Our new office space has been refurbished by UCL Estates and the main contractor Overbury. This was a real team effort of all involved from Estates Colleagues, the Workplace Health team, our Framework Partners and the Project Sponsor Helen Bonneville, Director of Property and Asset Management who all collectively contributed to the team in delivering the Workplace Health move.

The move of Workplace Health into Bidborough House formed part of the strategic exit of UCL Leases, in line with the Financial and Estates Strategies. The Workplace Health Team is now in a more central location, co-located with other Professional Services colleagues and providing a more accessible, high-quality environment for staff and students to access the many services provided by the Workplace Health team. The move reflects UCL’s financial commitment to ensure staff health and wellbeing is at the forefront in all that we do.

Max Hill, Director of Workplace Health said:

“The new space has surpassed our expectations. It is bright, airy, well laid out and has been finished to a very high quality. The team are thrilled, and it allows us to be more cohesive in how we work together, as well as providing us with opportunities to connect with colleagues from across Professional Services. After some initial trepidation, the process has all gone very smoothly and Estates colleagues have been incredibly supportive throughout.”

A launch event with over 120 attendees was held on 6 November, in which Estates, HR colleagues and other stakeholders explored the new space and learned more about the wellbeing support available to staff through a Being Well at UCL exhibit run by Workplace Health staff.
