A triple win for UCL at the 2020 CASE awards
11 June 2020
UCL has won three Circle of Excellence awards from the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) for projects ranging from our unique Donor Wall to a podcast answering life’s big questions.
The award winners are:
A bronze award for Not Just Another Donor Wall, recognising UCL’s Donor Wall, unveiled last year in the Wilkins Terrace. This striking art installation was created by Slade School of Fine Art graduate, Dr Sarah Fortais, and features aluminium and bronze cast hands of over 60 of UCL’s most generous donors – you can find out more on the OVPA website.
UCL’s Academic Fundraising Engagement Programme in Cancer Research won a bronze award in recognition of UCL’s targeted programme of training and engagement for academics and clinicians to increase philanthropic referrals, particularly from within the clinical academic community.
The Made at UCL podcast, also a Bronze winner, looks at some of the disruptive discoveries coming out of UCL, from a lizard helping to cure Parkinson's to fossils that teach us about life in space. Each episode looks at a different topic, with researchers from across UCL coming together to talk about their research answering life’s big questions. Episode 5, “What came before” is out now, and takes us back in time to look at what came before us. You can listen to Made at UCL on the UCL Minds website, or wherever you listen to your podcasts.
