Are you looking for a job or internship? Try UCL Talent Bank

16 March 2016

It's that time of year when many of you will be looking for a job for when you graduate, or an internship for the summer break.

UCL Talent Bank

UCL Talent Bank is a service run by UCL Careers where we match UCL candidates (students and graduates) with opportunities sourced by the UCL Talent Bank team, before sending a shortlist of applications to the employer. All of the opportunities are paid (or meet National Minimum Wage (NMW) legislation).

Currently, we have roles in consultancy, arts and heritage, engineering, marketing, big data and policy, as well as opportunities from UCL's very own Student & Registry Services (SRS) department, many of which pay more than the NMW.

Some of the organisations have more than one role to fill and often UCL Talent Bank roles are exclusive to UCL candidates; therefore, only UCL candidates can apply for the roles. This means that there is a greater chance for students to successfully secure a position.

For example, the summer internship roles within UCL SRS are exclusive to UCL candidates and cover six different areas of review, research and evaluation. If you secured one of these opportunities, you could then explore the possibilities of a career in higher education administration and make a real and lasting difference to the UCL student experience - find out more.

So, to get involved register your details by completing your candidate profile and you will then be invited to apply for relevant opportunities. You will need to fill in as much as you can for the 'personal details' and 'history' sections. Also, the more information you give us about what you are looking for, the more we can help.

In order to apply for roles you will need to create a tailored cover letter for each opportunity. Remember, you can always get your CV and cover letter checked by application adviser at UCL Careers.

We also advise that you log in to UCL Talent Bank regularly to look for suitable opportunities that you may want to apply for.
