Two AUA Fellowships for UCL

5 January 2006

The Association of University Administrators (AUA) has awarded two members of UCL staff prestigious fellowships.

The AUA is the professional body for managers and administrators working in higher education. It enables the exchange of good practice, facilitates professional development and implements a code of professional standards.

The association recently introduced a new category of membership - 'AUA (Fellow)' - which has been designed to recognise people who have made a significant contribution to the development of the AUA and the management and administration of the higher education sector.

Mr Christopher Hallas, UCL Academic Registrar, and Mrs Helen Matthews, UCL History Departmental Administrator were among the 20 Fellows named in the very first year of the fellowships, announced in December 2005.
