The IoMH brings together the UCL mental health community spread across UCL’s eleven faculties and our partner NHS Trusts. Our Directory has over 180 affiliates with research expertise in various areas of mental health.

Our Special Interest Group meetings are fora for discussion and exchange of ideas in specific areas of mental health. We aim to foster collaborative work in mental health by encouraging joined-up thinking and interdisciplinary approaches and providing opportunities for collaboration between academics, clinicians and other practitioners.

Our next event will be the first meeting of the Special Interest Group in Psychological Trauma, bringing together researchers across UCL’s departments, the Anna Freud Centre, and practitioners in our sister NHS Mental Health Trusts.

This event will be held via Zoom from 3-4:30 pm on Tuesday, the 28th of June and is open to UCL and NHS staff and students.

Speakers will showcase examples of cutting-edge research in Psychological Trauma and its applications in clinical settings. The Panel Meeting will explore how we can best build on our strengths in Trauma research and practice to strengthen clinical-academic collaborations.

The event will also include an introduction to the IoMH Small Grants Scheme 2023.
