All UCL MBBS students are eligible for an NHS OpenAthens account. This is to allow you to experience from an early stage a range of resources that you will be using throughout your clinical career.
Resources available to you include key databases like MEDLINE, access to over 1,800 electronic journals and over 250 e-books. Most of these resources are available via NICE Evidence, a web portal offering a one stop shop for online resources available to NHS staff to help support their clinical practice by providing access to high quality evidence, and also additional information to assist with CPD, patient information and to keep you up to date. You can also use your NHS OpenAthens account to access Health Education England e-learning courses on the e-Learning For Health website.
If you are a UCL MBBS student you may have received an email towards the start of the academic year titled Activate your NHS OpenAthens account now, alerting you to activate your NHS OpenAthens Account. The sender of this e-mail is: Eduserv Athens.
If you did not receive an email, have problems activating your account or have any further questions about NHS OpenAthens, please email the Royal Free Athens administrator.
