We are excited to announce that Dr Carlos Milovic, Research Fellow with the Magnetic Resonance Imaging Group, has been selected as a Junior Fellow of the International Society for Magnetic Resonance in Medicine (ISMRM) for 2022.

This prestigious Fellowship is in recognition of outstanding early career researchers and appointments are made based on their publication record and participation in the Society's study groups and activities.

Carlos commented that "the ISMRM is a vibrant and exciting society, and I am thrilled to be recognized as a Junior Fellow. They have been a cornerstone in my early career, by supporting me with educational stipends to attend their annual meetings. They also funded an Exchange Research Grant I won in 2018, that allowed me to stay for three months as a visiting postdoctoral fellow at the Medical University of Graz.

"The ISMRM Annual Meetings are the most important conferences in the MRI community, where each year thousands of researchers gather to share their new research and network. The ISMRM also supports many study groups, focused on particular topics. I am a member of the Electro-Magnetic Tissue Properties study group. I served there as the elected Trainee Representative in the 2021-2022 term. This group has also organized its own meetings, workshops and working committees, allowing me to collaborate with the most relevant actors in the field, and engage in challenging projects.

"I'm very eager to continue working within the ISMRM activities, and to give something back to the community! And I would also encourage new trainee members to get involved and fully exploit what it has to offer!"

Many congratulations to Dr Milovic on this fantastic achievement!
