Meet the expert

Dr Udunna Anazodo, Assistant Professor in the Department of Neurology and Neurosurgery, McGill University

Dr Anazodo completed her doctoral training in Medical Biophysics at Western University and was a MITACS Accelerate Fellow at The Lawson Health Research Institute. She leads the Multimodal Imaging of Neurodegenerative Disease (MiND) Lab at The Montreal Neurological Institute where her group develops PET and MRI techniques for quantitative neuroimaging. Dr Anazodo is very passionate about improving access to diagnostic imaging with a focus on population and global health. She is the founder and Chair of the Consortium for Advancement of MRI Education and Research in Africa (CAMERA), a global network of MRI experts working to establish sustainable access to high-value MRI in Africa through local capacity building and the Scientific Director of Medical Artificial intelligence (MAI) Lab at Crestview Radiology Ltd in Lagos, Nigeria, Africa's first AI lab dedicated to training, development and implementation of AI applications in medical imaging. She is also the Programme Director for the Sprint to AI Training for African Medical Imaging Knowledge Translation (SPARK) Academy, a deep learning and medical imaging train-the-trainer in Africa.
