Athena SWAN, the national scheme to advance women’s careers in science and research, has announced the latest tranche of universities and departments to be certified. The departments of Chemistry and Mathematics are among ten UCL academic units to be recognised this year, both earning Athena SWAN Bronze standard for the first time.
Athena SWAN Bronze Department awards recognise that in addition to university-wide policies the
department is working to promote gender equality and to address challenges
particular to the discipline.
