Careers Event - Insight into AI

Anna Gross leads Peltarion's business development in the education sector. This involves engaging with a diverse range of educational stakeholders that want to equip students with the skills to build and deploy deep learning models and finding ways to adapt the platform to their needs. Prior to joining Peltarion Anna founded and set up the start-up charity, Project Access, helping students from disadvantaged backgrounds access top tier institutions like UCL.

Akshay Gupta is a Machine Learning Engineer at Twitter UK. His work is focused around using deep learning and natural language processing techniques to proactively detect abusive tweets on Twitter, as well as extending these approaches to handle a larger number of languages. He is also working on leveraging techniques to learn more efficiently with smaller amounts of data. Before joining Twitter, Akshay completed his Bachelor's and Master's in Computer Science at Indian Institute of Technology Delhi with a thesis focused on improving human pose estimation using deep learning. https://careers.twitter.com/

Foaad Farooghian, Consultant: Foaad is part of Analytics and Cognitive team at Deloitte Consulting. Prior joining Deloitte he built his own start-up which was focused on AI and Machine learning for Human Resources. His education background is MSc Computer Science (UCL) and BEng Electrical and Electronic Engineering (University of Birmingham)
