Web Applications
This section explains the Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) and Content Management System (CMS), and discusses the advantages and disadvantages of using freeware in language courses, giving examples of its various applications. There is also a chapter on web 2.0 technologies, i.e. web applications that facilitate interactive information sharing and collaboration on the World Wide Web, and how they can be employed in teaching and learning.
