LCCOS Annual Report 2023 published

8 January 2024

Library, Culture, Collections and Open Science (LCCOS) celebrates a successful year.

LCCOS is at the heart of the university, acting as a vital hub connecting people, ideas and information.

Over the last year, we welcomed over 4.1 million visits to our library sites, museums and theatre. The contribution of staff in LCCOS was recognised at the Provost awards with two winners and a runner up. The department also gained Customer Service Excellence Accreditation, with full compliance in all 57 criteria and Compliance Plus in 24, which is outstanding for an organisation the size of LCCOS.

We continue to innovate. Last year we launched the UCL Research Institute for Collections, supported the university’s expansion into east London and engaged with audiences around the world.

Reflecting on the last year, Dr Paul Ayris, Pro-Vice-Provost LCCOS said:

“2022-23 has been a wonderful year. LCCOS teams are consolidating their activities and producing results of which UCL is truly proud. We look forward to further successes going forward.”

The LCCOS Annual Report 2023 brings together a wide range of case studies from across the department, celebrating the year in words and images.
