Change in loan limit for UCL staff

We regularly review our library service provision to staff, students and external visitors. One aspect of the service which was reviewed via a benchmarking exercise during the latter part of last year was the loan allowance for all library users. Library Committee agreed in December 2015 that the loan limit for staff at UCL will be set at 40 items from 1 September 2016. This change maintains a generous limit for staff, whilst balancing this against the need to manage the Library's print stock and ensure that it is available for users at the point of need. We have been individually contacting staff who currently have more than 40 items on loan and will be agreeing specific arrangements with them.
