Artwork installation in UCL Main Library

As part of UCL Library Services' Public Engagement agenda, our sites play host to a variety of events and artworks. Currently installed in the stairwell of the Main Library is an artwork by Mayte Alonso, a Miro Foundation Artist in Residence at the UCL Slade School of Fine Art. The piece, entitled 'Spinning Out Time', is a collectively created work of art made by a community knitting group, and is the first in a series of projects by the artist to be exhibited in architectural spaces on the wider theme of 'Art for a Better World'.
