Introduction to Mendeley (Location: Great Ormond Street Institute of Child Health)

Location: Wolfson Centre, cluster room I. This session will introduce Mendeley, a freely available reference management and collaboration tool. The session will enable you to manage your references, create in-text citations and create bibliographies using Mendeley.

You will be able to:
- Understand the strengths and weaknesses of Mendeley and how it compares to licensed packages such as EndNote
- Add references and PDFs to Mendeley and manage them effectively
- Share your references and publication
- Insert citations and references into Microsoft Word or Libre Office in a variety of output styles (e.g. Harvard, Vancouver, or APA)
Who should attend?
Any postgraduate student who is interested in using free, open-source software to share and keep track of references and to add citations and references to written work.
This session is also part of the Doctoral School Skills Development Programme. Postgraduate research students at UCL should book a place by logging in via the programme website.
