This 2h30m session aims to give you an introduction to high quality resources to support you in undertaking a systematic review and develop skills to build an effective search strategy using a bibliographic database, i.e. MEDLINE / OVID SP, in preparation for your systematic review search.

  • Carry out a scoping search to determine whether a systematic review already exists on your topic
  • Refer to high quality resources for guidance on undertaking a systematic review
  • Understand the importance of developing and registering a protocol
  • Identify inclusion and exclusion criteria
  • Build an effective search strategy on a bibliographic database

This course is open to UCLH NHS staff as well as UCL students and staff in a biomedical discipline who are primarily based across UCL's Bloomsbury campus.
