The OvidSP search interface provides access to a range of biomedical databases including MEDLINE and EMBASE. This session will be useful to both NHS and UCL staff and students, it covers the following:

  • introduction to the databases available through the OvidSP search interface
  • constructing an effective search strategy in the Ovid Medline database using textword and subject headings
  • outputting results, saving searches, and creating alerts
