Drop in sessions

What we offer and when

We provide individual help with digital skills to all UCL staff and students at weekly drop in sessions during term-time only.

These will be held both remotely via Moodle using Microsoft TeamsPlease visit our Moodle course to see the dates and times of sessions over the next couple of weeks and to attend.

No need to book (but check availability)

We don't take appointments for drop in sessions but as explained below, we can't guarantee to be able to help with every query and drop in facilitators will differ in their skills range so you can contacting us by email to check if you need help with something that may not be covered.

Please note that we also sometimes have to cancel a session due to unexpected circumstances but we will keep the dates and time updated in our Moodle course.

Range of help available

The help available reflects the range of topics that our trainers cover.  Please visit our Courses by theme pages to see the full range of courses.  The trainers may be able to help with a few things outside of this range but this will be on a 'best efforts' basis.

What we don't offer

We cannot help you with IT support for your software or device.  If something isn't working properly and it is a service or device managed by UCL Information Services Division you should contact  ISD IT Services.

We cannot provide you with a personal one-to-one training course in a particular piece of software.  We can answer specific questions or troubleshoot issues you are having with using software or point you to training courses or resources for self-study.

Terms and conditions

We will try to resolve your query straight away if possible or we may recommend attending another session to receive the best help that we can provide in the area that you are interested in. In some cases we may not be able to provide the help that you require and we will advise you of this as soon as possible.

All support is on a drop in basis.  If we advise you to attend at a later date you may still need to wait to be seen. We recommend that you have some work that you can do while you wait.

We recommend you read the full Terms and Conditions before attending.
