Rates for Format Conversion from Tape

The following costs are for a single media clip transfer only. 

Please note that a single media clip transfer, refers to the following:

1. A continuous recording where no editing is required
2. A single video or audio clip captured from the source
3. The digital encoding and transfer of the clip to a delivery or storage medium e.g. CD-ROM, DVD, or Streaming Server.

The costs are as follows:

Initial Setup Charge - £40.00

Production costs for each media clip

• Up to 20 minutes      £25
• Up to 30 minutes      £30     
• Up to 45 minutes      £35
• Up to 60 minutes      £40
• Over 60 minutes       Priced on Application (POA)

If your project falls into one of the following categories:

• The video or audio clip to be encoded is longer than 60 minutes, or
• It requires multiple media clip transfers from one or more sources e.g. transfer and encode six separate video clips from one Mini DV tape etc.
• then, an additional post-production cost will be charged and added to the single media clip transfer price.

Rates for Format Conversion from Optical Disc

The costs for converting video or audio from an optical disk depends upon the length (time) of the original and how you want to edit and then save the subsequent digital file. 

All work is undertaken on the basis that we quote on each individual request and therefore projects are priced on application (POA)
