Information Asset Owner Actions

Each information asset owner has a set of responsibilities and is accountable for how information is handled within and on behalf of a research team.

Information asset owners ('Owners') are required to demonstrate how they are accountable for confidential information held under a specified project using its CaseRef by reminding their own staff of their responsibilities and by electronically signing a statement of accountability themselves.

The statement of accountability contains a future commitment to carry out any further assessments and procedures required under the Information Governance Framework. Once this is complete, Data Safe Haven shares may be requested from the Data Safe Haven service using that project's CaseRef.
