Using the Search Windows function

This guide contains instructions for finding applications, folders and files using the Search Windows function on Desktop @ UCL computers running Windows 10 and Desktop @ UCL Anywhere.

Before you start...

• You will need to be using a Desktop @ UCL computers running Windows 10 or Desktop @ UCL Anywhere.

Instructions

1. Click on the Search Windows function in the taskbar.

2. Type the name of the item you wish to search for into the Search Windows function. Matching results will be returned as you type.

3. Click on the item to open that item, e.g. click on Excel 2016 to open the application.
