Spotlight a video on Zoom
Spotlighting a video allows the host or co-host to make a person the active view for all participants. It is often used to highlight a keynote speaker. You can spotlight up to nine participant videos.

Instructions
Windows | macOS
- At the top of your screen, hover over the video of the participant you want to spotlight and click the ellipsis (...).
- Click Spotlight for Everyone.
- (Optional) To spotlight additional participants (up to 9 total), follow steps 1 and 2 again as needed, clicking on Add Spotlight instead.
- To remove a spotlight, click Remove Spotlight in the upper-left corner of the video area.
Linux
- Right click on the video of participant who you want to spotlight.
- Click Spotlight Video. You can only spotlight one person at a time.
- To remove a spotlight, click Cancel the Spotlight Video in the upper-left corner of the video area.
iOS
- Tap Participants. This will be at the top of your screen on an iPad and the bottom of your screen on an iPhone.
- Tap the name of the participant you want to spotlight.
- Tap Spotlight Video. You can only spotlight one person at a time.
- To remove a spotlight, click Remove Spotlight in the upper-left corner of the video area.
Android
Tap Participants.
Tap the name of the participant you want to spotlight. You can only spotlight one person at a time.
Tap Spotlight Video.
To remove a spotlight
- Tap Participants.
- Tap the participants' name. You can only spotlight one person at a time.
- Tap Cancel Spotlight Video.
