Raise your hand in a Zoom meeting

This guide explains how to raise your hand in a Zoom meeting.

Instructions

Tip: You can raise your hand in a Zoom meeting to indicate that you wish to contribute a point or ask a question. 

Note that this feature is only available in the app, not if you join a meeting via a browser.

  1. Within your meeting, click on the participants button on the menu panel
  2. Select raise hand. The host will then see that you have your hand raised and can invite you to speak. 
  3. To lower a participant's hand, click on the participants panel and you will see which participants have their hand raised. Hover over their raised hand and you will be given the option to lower their hand. A participant can also lower their own hand
