Moorfields and UCL, in collaboration with Civitas Learning, invite submissions for the 2019 Ophthalmic Education Innovation Prize.
A prize will be awarded to support the most innovative idea for using technology to enhance ophthalmic education. The winner will receive £500 which will go towards the development of this idea.
How to apply
- Submit a 500-word paper on an idea that applies technology to improve ophthalmic education, including a section on how the prize funding will support the development of this idea.
- All submissions should demonstrate an understanding of the digital learning ecosystem, including opportunities and potential limitations involved in delivering the project.
- The submission should be in PDF format with your name, institution/organisation and position listed on the first page. Email your submission to Tom Browne (thomas.browne@ucl.ac.uk) by Friday 6 September 2019.
- Please note that submissions on projects that are currently underway will also be considered for the prize.
Open to
- Undergraduate students, postgraduate students, early career researchers and professionals working in areas related to ophthalmic practice, ophthalmology and biomedical science.
- This includes MSc and PhD students, trainees, ophthalmologists, allied health professionals and non-medical ophthalmic professionals.
- People in other related specialities are also welcome to submit ideas.
