New Research Fellow in the Ruhrberg lab at the IoO

The IoO is seeking a Research Fellow to study vascular development and disease.

Job Details

Building on recent work from the Ruhrberg laboratory, the post holder will elucidate novel molecular and cellular mechanisms in vascular development and disease.

The successful applicant will carry out a wide range of duties including, amongst others, leading and taking responsibility for experimental objectives, designing and carrying out experiments as required to achieve the experimental objectives, writing manuscripts for publication, and presenting successful work packages at national and international meetings.

The position is funded for a period of 16 months in the first instance.

Key Requirements

The post holder requires extensive experience in biochemistry, molecular and cell biology techniques, and knowledge of transgenic and knockout models. A PhD in a biological or biochemical discipline is an essential requirement.

Evidence of a suitable publication record and experience in vascular biology research and/or cardiovascular disease is essential.
