Research Programme Manager for Dr Pearse Keane’s group at the Institute of Ophthalmology. This group is focused on the development and application of artificial intelligence (AI) in healthcare, using ophthalmology as an exemplar.

Job Details

The successful applicant will provide project management and administrative support for a diverse range of projects at the boundary between clinical research and computer science/engineering as well as at the boundary between academia and industry. These projects will include the world-leading collaboration between Moorfields Eye Hospital and Google DeepMind, as well as the cutting-edge research into “oculomics” with the AlzEye study – the use of the eye as a window to systemic health.

Key Requirements

  • Education to MSc degree level, or substantial relevant experience
  • Experience in a project management role within a university
  • Experience of managing a multi-disciplinary team to achieve project objectives
  • Extensive experience with research grants including application requirements, financial processes, and post award management
