Mandeep Sagoo appointed as King James IV Professor of Surgery at the RCS of Edinburgh for 2017

Dr Mandeep Sagoo, Senior Lecturer at the UCL Institute of Ophthalmology and Moorfields Eye Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, has just been appointed as the King James IV Professor for Surgery at the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh for 2017.

The King James IV professorships were introduced at the turn of the millennium by the Royal College and are awarded in open competition to practitioners of Surgery who’ve made a, “significant contribution to the clinical and/or scientific basis of surgery” and have a national or international reputation in their field. Dr Sagoo was recognised for his on-going clinical research and expertise in the field of Ocular Oncology and will give the King James IV lecture as part of the professorship during 2017.
