Hi Luke,
What is it like to train to teach at IOE, UCL's Faculty of Education and Society?
Studying at IOE was a transformative experience. Knowing that you are at the most recognisable institute for teacher training in the world gives you the confidence to know you will have the expertise to help you succeed in this challenging profession.
What advice would you give to new students on the programme?
I would advise new students on the PGCE to absorb as much as possible, to stretch themselves every day and constantly strive to be better each day.
What did you enjoy most about your training year?
I enjoyed the energy around IOE, the commitment to excellent pedagogy from students and staff and the facilities on offer for students such as the library and the auditorium.
What is it like to train in a London school and how do you think it has benefitted you?
Training in central London is special because you are in the middle of a student metropolis and there is a great buzz around IOE throughout the year.
