In Budapest, there were 2,986 deaths from
haematopoietic cancer (cancers of the blood) over the study period (2001 -
2008). This figure consists of 1,460 male deaths and 1,526 female deaths
and is based on data from the Hungarian Central Statistical Office. The
spatial distribution of mortality due to haematopoietic cancer in Budapest is
