How to hire a temporary worker using UCL Unitemps

Unitemps will process temporary work assignments (previously known as form 6 & form 7) for up to 1 year. This includes part-time or full-time admin roles, office workers, student-friendly assignments, exam invigilators, one-off lecturers, lab technicians, translators, specialty workers etc. 

Booking process

To hire a temporary worker, you need to complete and return our booking form.  Step by step instructions are also available on our Recruit a temporary member of staff task page to guide you through the process.

Please return your completed form to unitemps@ucl.ac.uk

Unitemps will not process the following

  • Any temporary work undertaken before Unitemps staff have received a booking form and completed the right to work checks for a worker.

  • Teaching Fellows, Teaching Assistants and PGTAs

  • External agency workers

  • UCL employees completing overtime, acting up duties or work with another department

  • Any temporary workers who don’t have the right to work in the UK

  • Temporary jobs where the candidate is not based in the UK and the work is carried out from abroad
