The Widening Participation CoP is for staff working proactively to increase the number of students from underrepresented backgrounds studying at UCL. It was first launched  in February 2020 and has since been an active community bringing together staff working in the practice area across both central and local departments at UCL. It is co-led by Senior Access Officer Lauren Gillett, Department Outreach Coordinator & Ogden Science Officer Mark Fuller and Access Manager Caroline Fionda Dedman.

We are so excited to finally be able to get lots of Widening Participation practitioners in one room and celebrate the fantastic work of everyone working on various parts of WP in our UCL community. The Community of Practice is all about bringing people together, and we are so excited to be able to recognise and reward our members who have shown outstanding commitment to WP."
Lauren Gillett, Senior Access Officer, WP CoP Lead.
