21 April 2020
Dear EISPS Applicants,
Dear EISPS Students,
I hope that this message finds you well. My colleagues and I know how unsettling the current situation must be for you. I sincerely hope that you are safe, in good health and in good spirits. Some of you have unfortunately contracted coronavirus. Some may have relatives and friends who have been infected too. To those of you, I do wish a prompt recovery.
EISPS staff members are working hard to make sure that you can start one of our EISPS degrees next academic year or carry on studying with us in the best possible conditions. I am confident that we will do that.
We started remote teaching the last two weeks of Term 2 in Spring 2020, and we will be ready to continue doing so if face to face teaching is not possible in the Autumn 2020.
Exams will be taking place as ‘normal’ in May-June 2020: desk exams have been replaced by alternative assessments (essays to write from home). We are making sure that students will be treated fairly and that the current circumstances will not put them a disadvantage.
In short, EISPS will be open for business as usual. We will be ready to deliver our teaching, administer your degree programme and welcome you in a safe and academically stimulating environment.

I look forward to welcoming you (or welcoming you back) in September 2020!
In the meantime, stay safe and healthy.
With all good wishes,
Prof Philippe Marlière
