Myriam Hunter-Henin interviewed for documentary

25 July 2023

The Professor of Comparative Law and Law and Religion at UCL Laws participated in a documentary film on a European Court of Human Rights case that triggered debate around religious freedom at work.

Myriam Hunter-Henin

Professor Myriam Hunter-Henin was interviewed this month for a Council of Europe documentary on Nadia Eweida and others v. the United Kingdom, and the case's implications ten years on.

The documentary is scheduled to air in September 2023. Watch this space.

Professor Hunter-Henin reflected on why the decision was historic; on the impact it had had in Britain as well as in other jurisdictions; and on how the decision had changed the way that religious manifestation at work was characterised and protected under the European Convention.
