The European Institute is the gateway to UACES, the global association for contemporary European Studies, for the UCL Faculty of Laws.

Benefits are open to academic staff within the Faculty of Laws.

To sign up and access UACES Group Membership benefits, staff and graduate students in the Faculty of Laws are invited to email admin@uaces.org with the subject line ‘Group Member’ and their name, email address and department.

The benefits include:

  • Connect and collaborate with 1,000+ UACES members via the members’ email list to share events, vacancies, CfPs and funding opportunities
  • Receive the quarterly UACES Newsletter with insights from the world of European Studies
  • Attend UACES events at the members’ rate, e.g. their Annual Conferences (up to 10 members of UCL Laws can take advantage of this rate per event)
  • Set up a group or individual blog on Ideas on Europe
  • Advertise events and vacancies on the UACES website

Graduate Forum

Postgraduate and early-career scholars can also get involved with the UACES Graduate Forum. UACES also recruits PhDs and ECRs to join the Graduate Forum Committee every year.

From January 2022, the European Institute will also provide the gateway for UCL membership of the Council for European Studies.
