The award was conferred at a special ceremony on Friday 11 November in Canterbury by CEFEUS Director and Reader in European Foreign Affairs, Dr Amelia Hadfield, after which the newly appointed Senior Fellows attended a reception hosted by CEFEUS. The appointment of Dr Staiger to a Senior Fellowship strengthens the growing ties between UCL and Canterbury Christ Church University and paves the way for cooperation on a number of joint projects. Dr Staiger will work closely with the other Senior Fellows, who include Mark Hammond, former chair of the Equalities and Human Rights Commission, and Stephen Fidler, the Brussels Editor of the Wall Street Journal.
